My name is Wilma, and I am honored to share in your journey to transform yourself into a more satisfying life. By taking this first step you are already recognized as being brave and curious. As your counselor, I will work hard to provide you with the tools necessary to navigate through challenges in a way that brings out your strength and full potential. I believe everyone is unique and has the resources necessary for a successful life.

I am currently a third-year student in the Master’s program at Sam Houston State University majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I have a Master’s degree in Special Education from Texas Tech University, with a certification as an Educational Diagnostician. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University in 1997, and I taught in public schools for 23 years. I worked with elementary students with special needs, gifted and talented, and those with behavioral concerns. In my spare time, I love to read, spend time at the beach, and play with my grandchildren.
