My name is Stephne Whitfield and I am a certified Elementary School Counselor as well as a LPC-Associate supervised by Efrain Uribe. I have worked with people from various experiences, it allows me to be open minded and empathic to others. I feel that people are the expert to their personal experiences, and that the Counselor supports clients in the balance of subjectivity and objectivity. Counseling is such a fulfilling career that allows me an opportunity to connect with others organically by being transparent, authentic, and having unconditional positive regard. Counseling has not only been a passion of mind, but a career that embodies my purpose. In working with clients, I would like to support them in their journey of life. Although many people get counseling in the present, it is often based on the effects of their past. Once people work through their unfinished business, they can begin to have more clarity. Oftentimes behaviors began to change due to thoughts and feelings changing as they began to process and heal. I look forward to meeting you!
