MC101 Intern Therapist
“The first step for change isn’t knowing what to do; it's believing you’re worthy of healing.”
I’m Rian, and I am currently a Graduate student at Sam Houston State University pursuing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Houston, and I am looking forward to meeting you!
Life can be challenging, and at times, leave you feeling alone, incapable, or drained. You deserve to be here, and I am honored to be a part of your journey. I strive to create a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable letting your walls down, expressing your emotions, and openly sharing your personal experiences with another human being.
My approach is rooted in support, authenticity, and empathy. I bring a collaborative, empowering, direct, and sometimes humorous style to counseling, keeping your well-being at the heart of our work. I am passionate about supporting those navigating neurodivergence (ADHD), depression, trauma, anxiety, life stressors, relationship difficulties, and more. I believe each person has the capacity to live a fulfilling and authentic life. My mission is to walk alongside you as you recognize your strengths, believe in your potential, and grow into the life you were meant to live.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, tending to my dogs and plants, cooking, baking, reading, listening to music, and being outside.
I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!
