Therapist
Welcome! I am so glad you are here. Starting therapy is a big step and sharing your life story with a stranger may feel intimidating. Recognizing this, my goal is to create a warm therapeutic environment, where trust, collaboration, and a sense of safety can be cultivated. From a young age, I have always enjoyed the moments in life with friends, family, and others when real conversations happen. This passion for connecting with others along with my own experiences in life led me to pursue a degree in counseling. In my training, I have experience working with teens, young adults, and adults of all ages working through issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief/loss, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach in therapy is open-minded, creative, and compassionate as I use a client-centered approach utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have a passion for walking alongside adults as they discover how the past can shape their current self and realize there is freedom from their past pains. You may wonder why you make the same decisions over and over or why you keep having the same relational conflicts. Processing the past and seeing how it connects to your present can be a powerful tool. I strongly believe that we are not meant to face the challenges of life alone. I want to be a safe place for you to share your story and not fear judgment.
A little about me: When I am not in session, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, reading, cooking, working on a puzzle or an embroidery project, and snuggling my old lady cat, Littlebits. I also love exploring local coffee shops, bookstores, and thrift shops.”
