Jamie

My name is Jamie and I just want to start off by saying I am proud of you for taking the hardest step, reaching out. I know starting therapy can be intimidating, but I will guide you every step of the way to help make the process as comfortable and effective as possible. I use a variety of approaches that are specifically tailored to each child, adolescent, individual, couple, and family because every situation is unique. I believe you are the expert of your life because only you live in your body and know your every thought, but I bring in a new perspective, different therapeutic techniques, and encouragement as we work toward your therapeutic goals. I want each client to know and feel that they can express themselves completely without fear of judgment and that I am excited and honored to be a part of their healing journey.

A little about my background, I have two undergraduate degrees in social work and psychology from Texas Tech University. I also received my Master of Social Work degree from Texas Tech University as well. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), and I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Ann Webb PhD, LCSW working toward my LCSW certification.

The therapy modalities and techniques I most often use are cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and

commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. I also utilize emotionally focused therapy with couples, and structural family therapy with families. I have worked in a large variety of settings ranging from people experiencing homelessness and indigent clients to inpatient behavioral health and hospice care. I have loved every place I have worked because it has provided me a versatile skillset which I am able to bring to my clients now.
