Emma Guindon
Therapist
My name is Emma, I am a second year student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Sam Houston State University. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2022. My goal is to provide an environment where clients feel safe to be themselves and be a supportive role in the client's journey towards healing. I am a firm believer in building up client confidence to make the changes needed to live a full and happy life, one small step at a time! I have experience working with athletes, trauma, adults in various life stages, life transitions, anxiety and depression. I am very passionate about working with military veterans and first responders who struggle with combat trauma, PTSD, and transitioning from active duty to civilian life.Â
A little bit about me is that I was a collegiate athlete. I played softball at the University of New Mexico while getting my degree, and finished my career at Sam Houston in my first year of graduate school. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time with my dog and chickens! My hobbies are painting/drawing, fishing, reading, crocheting, and spending time with my family.Â
