Alyssa
MC101 Intern Therapist
My name is Alyssa Robinson, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Lamar University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University, where I developed a strong passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.
As a counseling student, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I am especially interested in helping individuals navigate personal growth, relationships, family dynamics, stress, and emotional well-being.
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and cultural awareness. I believe healing and growth happen when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences openly. My goal is to help clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop healthy coping skills that support long-term wellness.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, practicing self-care, and continuing to learn more about mental health and personal development.
