I am a Masters level Graduate student at Sam Houston State University. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at Sam Houston State University in 2023, and this is my first semester as a counseling intern.

My theoretical orientation is based on Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT works on identifying and changing negative thoughts and behaviors, as well as focusing on the present and future to develop coping skills. I use this orientation along with SFBT, which emphasizes client strengths and building solutions by focusing on exceptions and small steps toward goals. 

I have the knowledge to work with couples, families, trauma, and other struggles, such as anxiety and depression. I am passionate about helping others and working with my clients to reach their goals.
